Advanced World Systems, Inc. has always been aware of its responsibility to society. Not only do we provide quality products for our clients, we also take the time to fulfill our obligation to give back to the community the same blessings we have received.

It is in this context that AWS chose Bidlisiw Foundation, Inc. as its recipient.

Bidlisiw Foundation Inc. is a Cebu City-based, non-profit, nongovernmental organization that aims to help the economically depressed families and the sexually commercialized people. It offers both financial and non-financial services to its members such as loans, informal peer education, skills training and support for alternative means of livelihood, and a Health Resource Center, addressing reproductive health issues and offering medication for its members

The said institution was founded in 1989 and has been serving the community through a handful of workers and a system that slowly gets complicated with the increase of its members. Advanced World Systems offered to create the Bidlisiw Information System to address the need of the foundation for a secure and stable profiling and monitoring system for its members.

The Bidlisiw Information System (BIS) is a desktop Windows application designed to help the Bidlisiw Foundation create and monitor their members\' profiles. The system includes Family Profiling where individual family members have their own profile, addressing their issues and concerns which will help the foundation create an Action Plan for a particular family. Also the system has Follow-Up and Monitor feature, allowing the foundation to monitor and update the result of their action plans and the family's status. The system is also equipped with a security function including a User Authentication to preserve the confidentiality of information. Lastly, the system is also capable of generating transactional and statistical reports, enabling the foundation to monitor its operations.

The Software Turnover and Outreach Program were done last December 6, 2008 in Looc Gym, Looc Mandaue City, Cebu. Several members from Bidlisiw Foundation attended the Christmas Party conducted by AWS. The foundation volunteers who used the program early on were very pleased with the user-friendliness and usefulness of the system. "It would really improve our operations and enable us to help more people" said Ms. Lolita Ganapin, Director of Bidlisiw Foundation. The activity included a party for some of the Bidlisiw Foundation members. There were games, food and gifts for the families who participated. All the children also received gifts specially wrapped by AWS employees.

In all, the outreach endeavor was a success and with the smiles and happiness that came from the people we have shared a part of our Christmas with, it makes all the effort worthwhile.
