Again, Advanced World Systems, Inc. leads the way.

Upholding its continuing support and commitment in promoting the PhilNITS certification in the Philippines, Advanced World Systems, Inc. recently participated in the holding of the pilot examination of the PHilNITS-SW. While the more popular PhilNITS-FE certification exam measures an IT engineer's competency in the fundamentals of IT, the PhilNITS-SW exam is wider in scope and focuses on the next level of knowledge and skills needed to become a globally competitive IT engineer.

With support and inspiration coming from top management, and with the company's desire to showcase the Filipinos competitiveness in IT, Advanced World Systems, Inc. once again have contributed to the success of the pilot exam by providing almost half of the total examinees, and producing ALL the eight passers for the pilot exam.

Here are some highlights of Advanced World Systems, Inc. performance and contributions :

  • Contributed all eight examinees who passed the pilot exam in the Philippines
  • Registered an excellent passing ratio of 62% (8 out of 13)
  • Contributed almost half, at 48% (13 of 27) of all examinees for Philippines
  • Contributed all five examinees who took the exam at PhilNITS Cebu office

The Philippine National IT Standard (PhilNITS) Fundamental Engineer (FE) certification exam is a result of an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan to have a common standard in the Asian region in measuring the competency of their IT engineers in the fundamentals of IT. It is now officially recognized by the Philippines and Japan, together with six other Asian countries (Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Mongolia and Vietnam).

The PhilNITS-FE examination is based on the certification program of the Japan Information Technology Engineers Examination Center (JITEC) which has the following structure and categories as illustrated.
