Advanced World Systems Inc. Recorded the Highest Passing Ratio for the October 2005 PhilNITS-FE Exam

Advanced World Systems, Inc, had proven it again to be a globally competitive IT company, by showing excellent performance during the October 2005 PhilNITS-FE exams with an impressive 79% passing ratio for its examinees.

With this performance Advanced World Systems, Inc. achieved the highest passing ratio amongst all participating organizations in the Philippines, according to PhilNITS president, Maricor Akol.

As its contribution to the Philippines' overall performance for the said exam, Advanced World Systems, Inc. produced 38 (or 58%) of the total 66 passers nationwide, and helped the country achieve a national passing ratio of 14%.

Since the exam started in 2001 (pilot exam), Advanced World Systems, Inc. has been showing the way with its consistent good performance for the exams.

Advanced World Systems, Inc. has been consistent in its contribution in the promotion and improvement of PhilNITS, both within the company and the Philippines.

Since the pilot exam in 2001 until now, Advanced World Systems, Inc. has contributed 34%, or 92 of the total 269 PhilNITS-FE passers in the Philippines.

Advanced World Systems' continuous good performance in the PhilNITS-FE exam is a showcase that the Filipinos can be at par or even better than other Asian countries in terms of Fundamental IT competency. Since the pilot exam in 2001, Advanced World Systems, Inc. has been averaging 50% passing ratio, much higher than the passing ratio of other Asian countries, and definitely higher than Japan's average of around 17%.

The Philippine National IT Standard (PhilNITS) Fundamental Engineer (FE) certification exam is a result of an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan to have a common standard in the Asian region in measuring the competency of their IT engineers in the fundamentals of IT. It is now officially recognized by the Philippines and Japan, together with six other Asian countries (Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, Mongolia and Vietnam).

The PhilNITS-FE examination is based on the certification program of the Japan Information Technology Engineers Examination Center (JITEC) which has the following structure and categories as illustrated.
