Advanced World Systems Expands Makati Office Under PEZA Operations

Advanced World Systems, Inc. has expanded its Makati Office located at the 3rd Floor, Multinational Bancorporation Centre, Makati City, in order to accommodate its growing number of employees. Before the expansion, the Makati Office houses mainly AW Systems' Training Center, ACTION (AW Systems's Center for Technology Incubation), and a small development team. The new and larger office can now accommodate up to around 120 employees in addition to being the location of the company's ACTION Training Center in Manila. Advanced World Systems has averaged more than 20% growth rate in terms of headcount for the past 3 years. The projects being done in the Makati Office are mostly related to business applications software development for finance, manufacturing and logistics sectors.

In addition to the expansion, effective April 1, 2005, AW Systems' Makati Office is now operating under the PEZA (Philippine Economic Zone Authority) rules and regulations. PEZA Director General Lilia de Lima approved AW Systems' application for PEZA operations for the activities on its Makati Office last March 14, 2005. AW Systems' activities on its Alabang and Cebu offices are registered under BOI (Board of Investments).

During the contract signing ceremonies between PEZA and AW Systems, Ms. de Lima mentioned that AW Systems is a very good addition to the new IT-related PEZA companies that are mostly in the call center industry. She reiterated her full support and cooperation to AW Systems' operations. Mr. Akira Konishi, President and CEO of AW Systems, on the other hand, committed to Director de Lima that AW Systems will become a positive contributor not only to PEZA but to the development of IT sector in the country as well as Philippine society as whole.
