Advanced World Systems Engineer Wins 3rd Prize in the 32nd Nihongo Speech Contest

During this year's 32nd Nihongo Speech Contest which was held last February 19, 2005, at the College of St. Benilde, Advanced World Systems' employee, Jessica Cordova, won 3rd Prize in the Beginners Division. Twelve (12) speakers selected from around forty (40) applicants from various universities and business organizations delivered their speeches in front of a fully packed Augusto-Rosario Gonzalez Theater.

From Advanced World Systems, two (2) speakers (both graduates of ACTION Training Center) were selected as speakers for the contest. Jessica Cordova of the Cebu Office expressed her thoughts regarding how difficult it is to make a speech in Japanese, while Kelwin Chua from the Makati Office delivered his speech on the topic of his volunteer activities as a "firefighter."

The Japan Foundation Manila, in pursuit of its objective of promoting cultural exchange through Japanese Language Education in the Philippines, annually conducts the Nihongo Speech Contest to give students and professionals an opportunity to demonstrate their ability to express themselves in Japanese and thus foster better understanding between the Philippines and Japan.
