AWS Achieves ISO 27001:2005 Certification

Advanced World Systems, Inc. and Advanced World Solutions, Inc. in the Philippines recently achieved certification to ISO/IEC 27001:2005 - the international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) - for its Core operations on;

- EMBEDDED SYSTEMS AND/OR DEVICE DRIVER DEVELOPMENT
- BUSINESS AND/OR WEB APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT
- QUALITY ASSURANCE AND VERIFICATION FOR SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE DEVICES

Advanced World Solutions, Inc.:
- EMBEDDED SYSTEMS AND/OR DEVICE DRIVER DEVELOPMENT
- BUSINESS AND/OR WEB APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT

Bureau Veritas Certification recommended the certification of Advanced World Systems, Inc. and Advanced World Solutions, Inc. to ISO/IEC 27001:2005 standard in December 16, 2008, with the company subsequently passing the audit and found to be in accordance with the requirements of the above management systems standard.

ISO27001 (ISO/IEC 27001:2005) is the international standard for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). ISMS enables Advanced World Systems, Inc. and Advanced World Solutions, Inc to systematically operate its management system for information security. By establishing the ISMS, the organization can determine the necessary security level, make up plans and distribute its assets based on its own risk assessment in addition to technical countermeasures against each individual issue.
