22 March 2016 - Advanced World Solutions was named "Best Software Company of the Year" at the 10th annual International ICT Awards Philippines held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Newport City in Pasay.

The "Best Software Company of the Year" award recognizes "a company that demonstrates cutting-edge software design and development and deemed to have been the most inspirational role model software company" for the given year.

It looks at the company's growth in terms of annual revenue, quality and diversity of services offered to clients, depth and breadth of competencies, management practices, and efforts to promote the Philippine ICT industry, among other criteria.

Vincent Remo, AWS Assistant Vice President for Business Development, said, "It is our pride to be recognized not only by our clients, but also by a prestigious award-giving body. This award is a testament to our employees' relentless efforts to develop high quality software guided by the vision of the management team towards remaining a globally competitive software company."

AWS has sustained a double-digit annual growth since its inception, and it has also steadily increased manpower over the years, from the original five members in 1993 to 574 in 2015. Ninety-six (96) new employees have been added between 2014 and 2015 alone.

The company's sustained growth is attributed to several factors including its focus on the skills development of its employees, not to mention strengthening its own internal Technology Research and Development Team.

AWS helps promote the Philippine ICT industry abroad by regularly participating at the annual Software Development Expo (SODEC) in Japan, AHIMA Convention in the US, and CommunicAsia in Singapore, to name a few.

Likewise, AWS keeps its commitment to various CSR activities such as the tree-planting and blood donation activities, on top of its usual human resource programs that foster employee camaraderie and collaboration.

The award is not the first for AWS. It has also recently won Silver Award in the Tokyo New Business Conference Club - Global Awardee Division, and was a consistent winner at e-Services Philippines Awards for six consecutive years including "Outstanding Company Program" for ACTION, the AWS Center for Technology Incubation employee training program.

The ICT Awards is organized by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (CanCham), in association with the Information Technology and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP).

Julian Payne, CanCham President, said that, "The International ICT Awards Philippines recognizes the very best in the dynamic and fast growing ICT industry."

The Awards has 15 other categories including "Best Employer" and "Best ICT CEO." This year marked the Awards' 10th anniversary.
